How does the aesthetic quality of Trainspotting depict ideological issues of Youth and Addiction? Trainspotting shows addiction (Heroin addiction) in a way that could terrify the Youth watching the film, as it is not glamourized at all, it gives a realistic representation of what it takes and what it is like to be a Heroin addict.  The Opening scene is the first idea of heroin usage and how it makes the characters feel, With Renton's, our main character, opening monologue he lists all the ideological things that people his age would choose and how they would life "Choose life, choose a job, choose a career...". At the ending of this monologue he ends it with "I chose not to choose life, I chose something else, and the reasons there are no reasons. Who needs reason when you got heroin", It shows in the younger generation during the 90's they decide to choose using drugs and have that take over their life then trying to make a success or a career for themsel...

Blade runner is classified as a film noir, consisting of its dark, shadowy and depressive colour scheme and lighting aesthetic, within its elements throughout the film. Discuss how important cinematography is in establishing strong responses from spectators to a key character in ' La La Land' - Must refer to a scene The scene opens up with Sebastian driving up towards Mia's family home to take her to the audition, this is shown through a wide shot (establishing shot) this allows the audience to identify the area and we also see a strong difference between audience, this means the audience would need to be more active so they are able to identify difference in setting and atmosphere comparing on being in the city compared to Mia's home town. How far does "Winter's Bone" rely upon an understanding of its social context? An example of Winter's Bone social context would be strongly seen when Ree goes to visit Teardrop while looking for her dad. For Winter's Bone the social context is that they live in a society where the men are in charge and the women have to follow what they say, this is the society they are forced to live in and its very patriarchal and controlled. For Ree this is different as she lives in a female based how due towards the absence of her father so she has to be the controlling one and is the main support of the family. As she enters the house she needs to ask permission to come in, the man of the house is the one that needs to confirm wether the women can come in. This is the social reality that the women have to face in this way of living, the women are objectified and have to do domestic chores around the house while the men work and come home and do nothing, the women are bosse...

While making this short film there was quite a few ups and downs with; working together, the planning and I think just the whole execution and process of the film was difficult as a whole, but we managed to pull through and make this work. All three of us didn't know each other and what our strengths were when going into this for the first time, but we where able to adapt and be able to use each other's ideas effectively. We came up with the idea straight away and was able to figure out what did and didn't work and support each other's ideas, we supported and adapted situations to how we could make it work and exchanged knowledge such as; working a camera, editing, the relation to the mise-en-scene and to how we want the film, scenes to look and the overall outcome. Pale Man Scene. During the start of the scene that audience is able to see the contrast of lighting and also the colour aesthetic between the real world compared to Ofelia's fantasy world. The real world holds a cold blue tone towards the fantasy world of having a warm golden tone, ultimately it's almost as if the fantasy is brighter and more welcoming and a place Ofelia wants to be compared towards the real world as its more cold and darker. As Ofelia opens the door a light is immediately shown and brightens up Ofelia and highlights how she looks in this scene, the use of upper lighting adds more highlight towards Ofelia however its not in a scary or menacing way, its more warm and welcoming compared to how upper lighting tends to be used for. Stoker- Staircase disadvantage sequence. During this sequence the two characters India and Charlie as there is a contrast between the two as they seem to try and control who is more superior than the other. India begins at the bottom of the stairs and the shot is show from a High angle, this is used to make India appear to be smaller making her seem inferior, this adds to the impact and irony as she is at the bottom of the stairs. However Charlie is at the top of the stairs and is shot at a low angle making his appear bigger therefore more superior towards India. The director as used to to help the audience identify who is more powerful than the other in the scene, however this will tend to cause confusion as the shots shift and so does the position of the characters and where they are placed in the scene.
