Short film ideas

Science experiment;
- 3 test subjects, having small interview segments
- Or either Mentally Ill patients updating on their progress
- Analysis of their face, close up and distorted
- Eyes, mouth and hands also their body language
- Opposing motives and emotions with their rooms and the colour
- Red usually means anger but in this case it would be happy and cheerful
- Hallucinations and bringing across the patients fear

Characters/Test subjects;
- One focus on an important subject, majority is about her/him
- Special subject treatment 'N' only one given an actual name
- All experience different illnesses
- N; Schizophrenia and Anthrophobia ( Fear Of People)
- Subject Z4H; PTSD and Ombrophobia ( Fear Of Rain)
-Subject H5; They are the test subject that doesn't experience any signs of mental illness however develop characteristics of a Sociopath almost a serial killer
- N believes that he is in the interview and has been talking to someone for hours but it was actually themselves (Pans out to his room and the Nurses waiting for him)
- Plain white or black brick wall, Solid wall, or falling apart
- Very basic scenery and set up, Monochrome colours
- Inverted colours into Black and White

- In the short film "Curfew", the use and idea of using colour, specifically red, as an important colour and it holds importance towards the story. Specifically Richie's bathroom that we see him in is red and signifying danger as he tries to end his life in his bathroom. So I wanted to use the idea of having a specific colour scheme for each room we see the test subjects in and whatever object we place in there has to be the same colour
- With the use of the colour I want to use false ideology with the colour and juxtapose the meaning of each colour, so for example if I use red for instance, it tends to mean anger or danger but I want the subject to show emotion of either sadness or fear instead of anger. With the juxtaposition it adds towards the effect of mentally unstable patients and the audience either reflects on their emotions/characteristics or they are able to see inside their mind and what it is like.
- I also want to use cinematography and editing style from "About a Girl", the entire film holds documentary feel towards it, the use of constant hand held shooting whenever it was on the girl but when it showed elements of her life and how she lives it was all establishing shots. I want to use these techniques as the films is based on interviews and documenting people as they are being tested, the use of establishing shots will create focus on the characters and isolating them being the only thing that the audience can look at and pay attention towards.
-However as the film goes on I want to distort the video clips of the interviews and create a disturbance in the audience but only for a split second, this tells us if the audience will pay attention and focuses on the characters and the interviews, it again also symbolises what goes on in a mentally ill persons head and what they could hear or see.
